„Yoga during Pregnancy“ – An Immersion with Tanja Forcellini - ONLINE VIA ZOOM

A woman’s body is exposed to increased stress during pregnancy and after giving birth. Also, the mental state of the women is particularly sensitive during these phases of life.
As a yoga teacher, learn to handle these challenges and be prepared to professionally accompany women during pregnancy and their time after birth.
Pregnancy is a magical time. A new life grows inside of the woman, and yoga can bring calm, peace and serenity to both the mother and the unborn child. The time after birth is special too, but it can also be a very challenging time as many changes to the family dynamic occur. When women are connected to their inner strength and are supported through this process, there is a certain security and safety which surrounds them, bringing in a basic trust of the birthing process. A great benefit for both mother and child.
This immersion focuses mainly on specific postures for pregnancy and birth preparation. But we will also address the post-natal period. We will focus on the interplay of conscious breathing, the proper alignment of the spine, flowing movements from classical Yoga, relaxation and sounds.
In order for women to gain a deeper understanding of the positive effects of Yoga, both theory and practical exercises are interwoven. Not only do we look at the physical and hormonal changes that a woman undergoes during pregnancy, childbirth and post-natal, but also the emotional and spiritual ones.
This course includes:
• Basics of safe and healthy practice during pregnancy
• Get to know various Yoga postures to promote relaxation and heighten maternal intuitions
• Strengthening Yoga asanas that support the new body strain
• Getting acquainted with breathing exercises and energy controls
• Consideration and perception of Hormonal Change
• Perception of the change of the subtle body and life energy (Chakra Work)
• Relaxation techniques (various meditation, body scan and savasana)
• Breathing techniques and sounding to support childbirth
• Meditative exercises and birth preparation visualizations
During one of her journeys to the Far East in 1999, Tanja Forcellini discovered and learned to appreciate Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Yoga has led her to find answers to the many questions she has encountered on her personal life journey - answers that lay hidden deep within herself. Tanja attended the Yoga Teacher Training in 2004 at Centered Yoga in Asia, where she received certification as a Yoga instructor recognized by the Yoga Alliance. After her pregnancy in 2008, she also attended the Perinatal Yoga Training at Birthlight UK. After that time, life guided her more and more towards silence, and silence moved her from Yoga to Meditation.
The loving and conscious contact with, and careful perception of one's own body are the focus of Tanja's classes, as well as the connection of breath and movement. Since 2017, Tanja has been attending continuing education courses on mindfulness meditation and resilience building. In addition, she completed the Hormone Balance Teacher Training with Salome Noah. To deepen her own practice on the mat, Tanja regularly attends retreats and trainings with internationally recognized teachers. Her spiritual practice is deepened through the challenges of everyday life and especially through stays in an ashram in northern India.

Tanja Forcellini will teach this immersion on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm (30 minutes break included) ONLINE VIA ZOOM.
The zoom link will be sent to participants via email before the course starts.
This immersion is recommended for practitioners in the following working fields: Yoga teachers, midwives, meditation and relaxation coaches, fitness instructors, nurses, physiotherapists, and alternative practitioners, as well as for pregnant women who want to gain more safety and knowledge for their own Yoga practice.
