A Journey Through the Yoga Traditions – A 200-hour Advanced Training - FULLY BOOKED
The search for meaning has a long and rich history in the wisdom traditions coming from the Indian sub-continent. In this training, we follow the development of these teachings from initial traces in the ancient Vedic teachings to more recent interactions between the Hindu and Buddhist tantric traditions as well as modern postural Yoga, thereby spanning a period of study roughly covering 3000 years of spiritual traditions.
This advanced training is directed towards yogis looking for a comprehensive and sophisticated overview emphasizing the essential vision and practices of the most prominent spiritual traditions originating from the Indian subcontinent.
The course is constructed around 3 axis, a conceptual module, which includes yoga philosophy and theory - a practice module, which includes the knowledge pertaining to body practice and meditation - and an integration model, which focuses on applying the teachings into daily life.
• Classical Yoga
• Advaita Vedanta
• Hatha Yoga
• Asana (focus on intelligent sequencing, alignment, Yoga Therapy)
• Contemplation exercises

Sascha Delberg is a long-time yoga practitioner and has studied with respected teachers, such as Paul Dallaghan, Sri O.P. Tiwari and Richard Freeman & Mary Taylor. He has been teaching yoga in Vienna since 2004 in various studios until he founded the Yogawerkstatt together with his wife Romana in 2007. In their teacher trainings, which they have been offering since 2011, Sascha is a lead teacher covering Asana, Applied Anatomy and Pranayama. From early on in his life he was interested in and fascinated by the human body, which played a big role in his choice for this path. Pranayama in particular has fascinated him with its ability to nourish and soothe him with very little physical effort.
In Sascha’s classes you find a blend of accuracy, depth and humour, the latter being on the dry side. One of the sweetest joys for him as a teacher, is to see when students connect to something greater than their thoughts.
Sascha teaches in English and can also answer questions in German.
