Yoga, Qi Gong & Forest Bathing in Flims with Kimi Fiebig & Sandra Schmidt

Enjoy the end of the summer in the historic Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof and return home with a backpack full of energy.

In this long weekend in the Swiss mountains, you will activate and harmonize the flow of energy in your body through Vinyasa Yoga and Qi Gong and discover a new source of healing through Shinrin Yoku, the forest bathing.
Shinrin Yoku means 'to take a bath in the atmosphere of the forest'. This method originates from Japan, recognized to promote health there since 1982. The forest is not only a therapy and health center, it is also a source of joy and inspiration. In Shinrin Yoku, we consciously perceive the forest and nature with all our senses and open ourselves up to it. In doing so, you can leave the stress of everyday life behind, lay aside your assigned roles, and be truly yourself - without rush and without a specific goal.

Nowhere is it easier to breathe than in nature - that is why, in this retreat, we practice our morning Qi Gong and Yoga sessions al fresco, on the roof terrace with a view of the mountains or in the hotel garden.
On the two free afternoons you can rest, hike in the 'Swiss Grand Canyon', bike, bathe in the turquoise Lake Cauma or use the indoor natural stone pool with Grander water and the varied spa and massage facilities in the hotel.
Before dinner we will meet again for a yoga practice adapted to your physical conditions.

To participate in this retreat, basic yoga experience is recommended but not required. Kimi and Sandra will guide their sessions in German.

The Yoga, Qi Gong & Forest Bathing Retreat will be offered from Thursday afternoon, September 2, through Sunday noon, September 5, 2021 at the Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof in Flims-Waldhaus in Switzerland.

The Teachers
Kimi Fiebig completed a four-year dance training at the Zurich Dance Theater School with a subsequent specialization of Musical Studies in Hamburg. In the meantime she has been performing on stage as a career dancer and choreographer for more than 15 years. 10 years ago Kimi came across yoga while searching for a supplement to her daily dance training. She quickly came to realize that Yoga is not just about physical postures on the mat, but also challenges and aids the entire body and mind. Through regular practice she found a balance to her fast-paced career.
In 2007 Kimi successfully completed the Yoga Alliance 200-hour Teacher Training and in 2013 the 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training, both at AIRYOGA. These were followed by three Anusara Immersions, a Teacher Training by Katchie Ananda, a module with Shiva Rea and the intensive teacher training with Max Strom. By attending workshops in Switzerland and Germany, she became acquainted with different styles of yoga. Kimi teaches in a dynamic style, which embraces aspects of Vinyasa Yoga. Alongside the wisdom and teachings of Yoga for health, healing and bodily well-being, is the emphasis of a conscious and deep breath.

Born in Germany as a hunter’s daughter, Sandra Schmidt  has spent a major part of her childhood in the woods. To live in the Swiss mountains and close to the big forest of Flims today, is a great gift to her.
Her goal is to pass on the bond between nature and man to others and to find her way back to herself through mindfulness in nature.
Sandra is leading the Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof together with her family. Since 2016 she has beenoffering meditative forest walks.
"We already have everything we need to be happy within us - we can learn again to draw from the full. One of the keys may be the forest".
